Quick answers about Indonesian visas and how our private visa-assistance service works.

About our service

Are you a government website?
No. Visa For Indonesia is a private visa-assistance service operated by Visa For Indonesia. We are not affiliated with Indonesian Immigration. You can also apply directly at evisa.imigrasi.go.id.
Do you guarantee approval?
No. Visa decisions are made by Indonesian authorities. We make sure your application is complete, accurate and filed correctly, which is the best way to avoid a refusal, but we cannot promise an outcome.
Can I apply without using your service?
Yes. Eligible applicants can use the government portal directly. Our fee covers document guidance, preparation, sponsorship coordination and follow-up.
How do I know which visa I need?
It depends on your nationality, purpose, intended activities, length of stay and whether a sponsor is required. Tell us your plans and we will recommend the category. Never work on a visa that does not permit it.
Is a tourist visa the same as a business visa?
No. C1 covers tourism and social visits; C2 covers meetings, negotiations and site visits. Neither allows employment. Doing business on a tourist visa is a deportation offence.

Short stays and e-VOA

Who can apply for e-VOA?
Nationals of the countries on Indonesia's visa-on-arrival list, for tourism, meetings or short business. The list changes; we check it for you.
Can I extend a VOA?
Yes, once, for a further 30 days. The extension must be filed before the first 30 days expire.
Can I enter Indonesia without a visa?
Nationals of ASEAN and other exempt countries can enter visa-free for 30 days. This stay cannot be extended or converted.
How long does processing take?
e-VOA and visit visas are usually approved within 3–5 working days. KITAS applications take longer because the employer's approvals come first. We give you an estimate for your service, not a guaranteed date.
What happens if I overstay?
A fine is charged for every day over, and long overstays can lead to deportation and a re-entry ban. Contact us as soon as you realise; paying an extension before expiry avoids overstay status.

Process, documents and sponsors

Can I extend my stay while in Indonesia?
Most visit visas and all KITAS/KITAP permits can be extended. We check your category and expiry date and file within the deadline.
What documents will you need?
It varies by category, but typically a passport scan, photo, travel plans, proof of funds, and letters from an employer, school or sponsor. We send a tailored checklist before you share anything sensitive.
Can you help with work and investor visas?
Yes. We handle the employer approvals (RPTKA and Manpower notification), the visa, the KITAS, dependent visas and renewals, and for investors the investor KITAS and Golden Visa routes.
Who sponsors my visa?
Where a sponsor is required, your service agreement names the sponsor before you pay.
What happens to my passport scans and personal documents?
We use them only to deliver the service you request and share them only with the authorities and sponsors involved. See the Privacy Policy. Questions: support@visaforindonesia.com.
What if my visa is close to expiring?
Contact us immediately with your visa type and expiry date. Some extensions have strict deadlines and we cannot guarantee last-minute availability.

Family visas

Can my spouse and children apply together?
Yes. Dependents apply under the E31 family categories alongside or after the main applicant.
Can I apply for KITAP directly?
Former Indonesian citizens, foreign spouses of Indonesians already on a KITAS, and adult children of mixed marriages can apply for permanent residence without the usual three-year conversion wait.
How long does a family KITAS take?
Typically a few weeks once the sponsor documents are complete. We give a timeline when we quote.
What does my sponsor need to provide?
For a spouse visa, the Indonesian spouse's ID card, family card, marriage certificate and a sponsorship letter. For a company sponsor, the company deed, licences and a sponsorship letter. We send the exact list.

Fees and refunds

How are your fees structured?
Every quote shows the government fee and our service fee separately, plus any disclosed third-party costs. You see the full breakdown before you pay.
Can I get a refund if my application is rejected?
Government fees follow government rules and are usually non-refundable. Refunds of our service fee follow the signed quotation and Terms of Service, based on the work completed.
